Prodigy ‘09 has 3 different events: Acumen, You Trade & Marketing Combat.

The event is designed to stimulate eclectic thinking processes and test the Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Abilities, and Business & General Awareness of the contesting students. It is a two stage quiz competition consisting of preliminary and the final rounds. The preliminary round will comprise a written test. The top six teams will go on to the finals, to be conducted on-stage by a reputed quiz-master. Each school will be represented by a team of two students. The final rounds will consist of various sections such as rapid-fire and topic-based questions, deciphering of audio-visual clues, etc.

The quiz would be conducted by the renowned Quiz  Master Mr.Manimugdha Sharma. Mr. Sharma is the author of “A Quest for Answers” in the Indian Express and has conducted many quizzes all over Delhi.

This event will enable the students to put into use the 4 Ps to market a unique service, within the given framework of finances, communication media and other variables. They will be required to create a marketing campaign for the given service in the form of a presentation. Based on the prelims’ judgement 6 teams will be given 8-10 minutes of stage time to present their campaign, each of which will be subject to interjection by the other teams. The team with a wholesome campaign design keeping in mind the feasibility, creativity, resourcefulness and market reach will be declared the winners.

This competition is the highlight of the event due its unique character. This game throws a glimpse at the innovation @ CBS. It will allow participants to act as investors/traders and buy/trade videos on you tube and make profits out of it. The event will test the participant’s ability to judge the impact of certain news and rumours on the video.It will contain 5 rounds and based on the given news and rumours, the video prices will fluctuate and participants will accordingly invest/divest. News may continue to have an impact on the video price even after the immediate round. This continues for 5 rounds and at the end of 5 rounds, the teams will have to sell off all their videos. The top 2 teams, with the maximum profit shall win the prizes.
